| e-LINE or Ethernet Leased Lines |
| |
This is a NGN version of traditional leased lines that connects customers with a single TDM leased circuit. Only now, it connects customers with multi-routed leased bandwidths through what is commonly referred to as "MetroE Cloud".
Because it is Ethernet and not TDM, the service is highly scalable, resilient, simple to use and economical. |
| |
|
 |
e-LINE connects two nodes in a virtual environment on a MULTI PATH OPTICAL NETWORK. The network selects the shortest and fastest route to deliver data packets.
Planned expansion of MetroE network means continuously improving the network quality as more network paths are created. |

|
Benefits of e-LINE
- Fast up to 10Gbps on demand
- Scalable from 1Mbps to 10Gbps
- Easy-to-manage, create as many VLANS as you wish
- Resilient, multiple routes
- More control to users
- No additional equipment investment (Frame Relay CPE)
- Economica

 |
Ethernet VPL is an example of the use of e-LINE. No Frame Relay CPE is required. Just plug in to any of your Ethernet switch. |

|
 |
In a traditional environment, Frame Relay CPE are required and these CPE talks only to the Telco's network management system. Users have no control beyond the CPE, hence making network operations a tedious process. |
